Meet our Lead Pastors, Seth and Kaz Brooks. Full of the Holy Spirit and deeply committed to the call of God, Pastors Seth and Kaz Brooks bring a transformative faith impartation to every context in which they minister. With hearts set on shifting lives toward a greater expression of God’s capacity, they inspire individuals to embrace all that God has entrusted to them.
Pastor Seth is a passionate preacher who communicates God’s enthusiasm for your life and the opportunities He has placed before you. Grounded in the scripture, “Behold, the fields are white unto harvest,” he delivers messages of encouragement and hope that resonate deeply with people from all walks of life.
Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Seth and Kaz have been married for 24 years and are the proud parents of two children, Boaz (16) and Billie (11). With 28 years of full-time ministry experience, their influence spans continents as they faithfully pursue God’s calling.
In 2018, Love City Church moved into its current permanent facility in the Cully neighborhood of NE Portland. There are now weekly Sunday services, mid week community groups, children's and youth ministries and a food pantry on site providing food boxes to thousands of people every month. Seth and Kaz love being a part of what God is doing in Portland and are thankful that He has placed them in this city for such a time as this!
OUTREACH
The local food pantry Love Our City (formerly C3 Food Pantry) is located on the corner of NE 57th Ave and NE Lombard Street at 6120 NE 57th Ave, Portland, Oregon, 97218. Love Our City is dedicated to serving and providing for the needs of the Portland community through food assistance and groceries at no cost to those in need.
Kaz Brooks is the pantry Program Manager and oversees a team of 50+ volunteers. Love Our City provides 600 pre packed food boxes of groceries to the community every month. Love Our City is open every Tuesday at 11am-12pm or until supplies run out.
In addition to the weekly food box distribution Love Our City has provided food help and food donations to dozens of non profit organizations, churches and schools over the past three years in N/NE Portland. Love Our City also provides care and builds community through flower donations, Easter basket giveaways, community BBQ events, an annual community summer block party, school supply giveaway events, and more.
Over the past seven years, Love City Church has served the community in numerous fire events, including providing use of the church building as space for an evacuation center for Multnomah county in 2018, serving 10,000+ people food, clothing and emergency supplies during the Oregon fires in 2020, and being a donation drop off site for people affected by the Hacienda apartment block fires in January 2021.

MINISTRY
At Love City Church, we value sharing a meal, building friendships and learning God's Word. We would love for you to be involved in fostering this value and intention by being a part of the SPRING season of Community Groups. These groups meet weekly on Thursdays at 6:30-8pm at Love City Church. Every Thursday night there is a potluck dinner at 6:30-7pm and a bible study and discussion in small groups of five or six people at 7-8pm.
